About My Internship
During my time at Ribbons & Rows I was given the amazing opportunity to attend the Atlanta Apparel Mart on behalf of the company along with my mentor, Lauren Avery, to meet with potential buyers for Ribbons & Rows. Along with attending the Apparel Mart I was placed in charge of the campus representative program, which consisted of selecting 125+ girls from all over the south to promote the brand, I also put together the initial packages for these reps. Through Ribbons & Rows I learned the importance of meeting a deadline, creating a pleasing product, and connecting with buyers.
At J.R. Criders during the time span of my mentorship I was promoted from key holder to assistant manager. I absolutely love J.R. Criders and the opportunities that I have been given on behalf of this company. I am learning how to run a store, deal with happy & angry customers, and I have attended events on behalf of the company. Jessica, our store manager and my mentor, has given me a lot of responsibility and advice on how to successfully run a store, and I will always be thankful for how independent she has allowed me to be. On behalf of the company my co-workers and I attended Good News at Noon to serve, and I was sent on behalf of the company to a women in business luncheon in order to make connections.
